Gratuity: The gratuity is a service charge that is traditionally added to the base rate and is given to the person (or people) who provide the service. Generally this is added at a rate of 20% of the base rate. For the convenience of its customers, Lawson’s Carey Limousine adds this charge to each invoice so that the passengers are not expected to provide it at the end of their trip.
STC: STC is a surcharge based upon various overhead expense items, some of which may not relate to your specific trip. The STC is not necessarily charged to all customers and it is ordinarily calculated as a flat percentage of your base charge, and may vary subject to the level of usage.
Parking, Tolls: The costs of parking and tolls (if any) will be charged in addition to the base rate.
Fuel Surcharge: The fuel surcharge varies according to the cost of fuel in each market. Just as fuel costs vary regularly, the rate charged for the fuel surcharge also varies. This relatively small charge is only intended to account for the fluctuations in the cost of fuel.
Taxes: This is one of the few sure things – we all have to pay taxes. Value added Taxes, Sales Taxes and other government imposed taxes will be added to each invoice. These taxes can vary from as little as 2% to as much as 18% depending on the city of service.
